Station 2 serves as the main training facility for OFD.5-2 houses 1 full time Training Officer who works Monday – Friday 8 – 5 pm, 2 full time Firefighter/Driver Operators and may include 1 POC Firefighter who work a 24 hr shift. 5-2 is the main training center for the fire department and covers the south section of the township, responding first due to addresses South of KL Ave. Fire Station 5-2 also responds to automatic/mutual aid requests from Texas Township, City of Kalamazoo, and the City of Portage.
